This is the online application for the Wisconsin Telephone Solicitor Registration. To apply online, click the "Start New Application" button below. You will be presented with your invoice and payment options once the registration is submitted.

Telephone solicitors registering with DATCP are required to subscribe to the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry maintained by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). You can register with the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry at telemarketing.donotcall.gov.

Wis. Stat. §100.52 and Wis. Admin. Code ATCP ch. 127, subch. V require telemarketers who make telephone solicitations to persons in this state to register with DATCP, as well as obtain copies and updated versions of the Wisconsin Do-Not-Call (DNC) Registry.

FEES:
The registration year begins December 1 and ends November 30. The registration requires an annual fee. The annual registration fee is not prorated - the entire annual fee is due regardless of the date of registration. The telephone solicitor registration is not transferrable.

The initial registration fee is $700. The registration renewal fee is $500. If there are three lines or less, there is no additional line fee. If there are four or more lines, it is $75 per line. The annual registration fee may be paid in quarterly payments. For more information on lines and fees, please see the FAQs on the website at TelemarketerRegistration.wi.gov.

DATCP's receipt of the application form and/or deposit of registration fee do not constitute an approved telephone solicitor registration. An incomplete registration form my result in delays or denial of your registration.

Online Instructions
Prior to beginning the application process, make sure you have the following items available;

• Information regarding your subscription to FTC's National DNC Registry including Organization Identification number (ID), Subscription Account Number (SAN) and SAN expiration date.

• The contact information for an agent for service of process. Businesses that are not located in Wisconsin are required to have a Wisconsin Registered Agent of person in Wisconsin who will accept service of legal process on behalf of the business.

• A list of telephone numbers and SMS short codes assigned to each line used to solicit through a telephone conversation or text message with a Type identifier of Telephone Line, SMS or T-Line.
  • A telephone number must be in the format of (000) 000-0000 or (000) 000-0000 x000000 ("x" representing an optional 6 digit extension). A SMS short code must be 4 to 10 digits.

  • You will have the options of either manual entry or file upload for each item. The upload option included Microsoft Excel (.xlxs) and comma separated value (.csv) file formats. All of the cells must formatted as general.
