Telephone Solicitor Registration
This is the online application for the Wisconsin Telephone Solicitor Registration. To apply online, click the "Start New Application" button below. PLEASE NOTE: You MUST register for a MyDATCP online account at the end of the process to ensure that you can edit or view your information later. You will be presented with your invoice and payment options following registration.

The registration year begins December 1 and ends November 30. The registration requires an annual registration fee. The annual registration fee is not prorated - the entire annual fee is due regardless of the date of registration.

The annual registration fee may be paid in quarterly payments. The four quarterly installments are due on or before December 1, March 1, June 1 and September 1 of the registration year, or on the date of initial registration, whichever is later. If paying quarterly, a 20% late fee of the total annual registration fee will apply to telephone solicitors whose quarterly registration payment(s) are not postmarked on or before the due dates indicated above.

If you wish to submit a paper application, one can be found here. If you do not have a reliable internet connection, we recommend you submit your application on paper.

Prior to beginning the application process, make sure you have the following items available;

  1. Information regarding your subscription to Federal Trade Commission's National Do Not Call Registry including Organization ID, SAN and SAN expiration.

  2. A list of telephone numbers and SMS short codes assigned to each line used to solicit through a telephone conversation or text message with a Type identifier of Telephone Line, SMS or T-Line.
    • A telephone number must be in the format of (000) 000-0000 or (000) 000-0000 x000000 ("x" representing an optional 6 digit extension). A SMS short code must be 4 to 10 digits.

    • You will have the options of either manual entry or file upload for each item. The upload option included Microsoft Excel (.xlxs) and comma separated value (.csv) file formats. All of the cells must formatted as general.

  3. A list of trade names/assumed names and all trade names/assumed names and legal names for whom you solicit when contacting the public with a Role identifier of Principal or Solicitor.

    • A name must be less than or equal to 100 characters.

    • You will have the options of either manual entry or file upload for each item. The upload option includes Microsoft Excel (.xlxs) and comma separated value (.csv) file formats.

If this is a renewal application, during the online process you will have the opportunity to download a list of the current names for update.
