Any business or person whose name appears on a seed label, or who opens containers of agricultural, lawn or vegetable seed to sell all or part of it is required to obtain a Seed Labeler License.
New Applicants:
To apply for a Seed Labeler License, please start the process by clicking “Start New Application”
NOTE: The license fee for a new applicant or for an entity that did not sell seed under its own label during the previous 12 months shall be $25.
To Renew a License:
If you currently hold a seed labeler’s license and are looking to renew, click “Re-apply for Existing License”. Seed Labeler licenses expire on December 31 of each year. Licenses are not transferable and no fee or any portion thereof shall be refunded after the license is issued.
The fee for renewed licenses is based on the previous 12 months’ sales of seed that is labeled by the applicant.
